Stuart Scott fulfilled his fundraising promise to get a tattoo symbolizing Nyumbani. We covered Stuart’s project in 2016 as he attempted and succeeded in raising over £1000 for Nyumbani. He infamously pledged that if he succeeded in reaching his fundraising goal, he would get a tattoo of a giraffe (despite his fear of needles) in honor of Nyumbani.
The time finally came and just last week, Stuart was inked near his home in Scotland. He will now be able to show off his giraffe, named Gemma after the tattoo artist, when he travels to Kenya this year to check out Nyumbani in person.
What a great story! We are so grateful to Stuart for setting such a great fundraising example and we hope he enjoys his visit to the Nyumbani programs later this year.
