Earlier this month, Johnson & Johnson announced the launch of a new office in Nairobi, Kenya. Although J&J has been active in Kenya for many years, the new office will bring together multiple teams within J&J to deliver an integrated approach to improving health outcomes in the East Africa region. With that in mind, Vittorio Sereni, Country Manager of the Johnson & Johnson office in Nairobi said,
The opening of the new Johnson & Johnson office will play a major role in supporting our goal of helping to improve the quality of and access to healthcare in the region, while showcasing a model that can be replicated across Africa,”
We are excited to see J&J expand their presence in Kenya as they has been a long time supporter and friend to Nyumbani, specifically in the fight against pediatric HIV/AIDS. In fact, in an article in allAfrica.com covering the launch, Nyumbani is mentioned as one of the current ongoing programs supported by J&J. Check out the full article here.
Congratulations to J&J on the launch on their new office! We are excited to see how their work continues to expand in Kenya and East Africa.
