For the past 10 years, long term Nyumbani supporter Aldo Magezzeni, has donated an amazing Jamaican vacation package as part of our Annual Benefit’s fundraising auction. Magezzeni was a friend of Nyumbani founder Fr. D’Agostino and assisted in the building of Nyumbani Village’s water systems in its early formation, staying as a volunteer in the Village for over a year. He was the founder of Traveling Mercies, a non-profit that carried out various service projects across the globe, aimed at helping those in need. He continues to support charities and non-profits as needed.
Magezzeni’s donated vacation package features a one week stay at Look Out Cove in Little Bay, Jamaica. Up to 10 guests stay in the private Villa and Cottage, nestled on the cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The property includes a mineral pool, secluded lagoons, tropical gardens, and a private tennis court. Visitors venture into the nearby town of Negril or enjoy the magnificent Jamaican sunset from the private roof-top deck.
The Jamaican trip has been extremely popular over the last decade, with it’s purchase bringing in impressive bids each year. Many Nyumbani USA Board Members and supporters have won the opportunity to visit the Villa at Look Out Cove.
“Jamaica. We have wonderful memories of our trip there with friends and staying at the seaside villa in Little Bay (near Negril) that Aldo Magazzeni donated to the Nyumbani auction. We were entertained…live music on the beach, sumptuous lobster dinners caught that day and prepared by villa chefs Shorty and Margaret, and total immersion into the Jamaican love of life. What a wonderful vacation at one of the most beautiful places on earth.”
